* Welcome to Onjona...

"Onjona" means „mountain of the white lambs“ in the tribal language of Herero.
Our farm is situated at the foot of this mountain and owes it its name. In 1993
we traded our lives as agriculturists in for our own hunting farm in Namibia. We
left Austria and made our biggest dream come true.

Since then we live in this beautiful country of scenic diversity and extremes and don´t want to miss a single day. It never was and it still isn´t always easy but for huntsmen and people close to nature Namibia is a wonderful paradise. Onjona Lodge is located among the Swakoptal Conservancy on a sea level of 1706 meters, in the heart of Namibia just about 140km north-east of the capital city Windhoek and offers a total hunting area of 142.000 hectare. You´ll find us along the road D 2170 between Okahandja and Hochfeld or here: 21°47'25.27"S and17°31'36.91"E to be totally precise.

Scenically our farm is very varied: from open grassy areas where Oryx look for
the shade of umbrella acacias to mountainous parts with thick hackebush and
omantschete where Kudus love to rest. Besides there are a lot of water holes
available for our game to drink from and where the chances are pretty high to
shoot a big warthog boar from the raised stand.
